Blue Cross Blue Shield, Tufts Medical Center Could End Relationship
BOSTON (CBS) - A tug-of-war has broken out between Tufts Medical Center and its 1,500 doctors, and the state's largest health insurer, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts.
Negotiations have broken down over rate increases for Tufts. Blue Cross says those increases would amount to double-digits for the medical center.
The head of the facility calls the rate request fair.
