Indian Summer...

There are many variables that are factored in for an Indian Summer but in general in November if you have two or more consecutive days of sixty degrees or higher after the first frost then you have one.  Today's high in Boston was 65 and tomorrow's will also be above 60.  In fact, some communities may even experience 70 degrees!  It looks like the gradient will be very relaxed tomorrow so that a seabreeze will form in the afternoon for the coastline so I don't see it for Boston but mid 60s again will be nice!  The flow will become increasingly onshore through the middle of the week and with ocean water temps in the 50s now, that will be a cooling effect...it will be closer to 60 for Wednesday and Thursday.

At that time we will also see our first storm approach in nearly two weeks.  A coldfront from the west will likely interact with an offshore storm and give us some rain Thursday night.  The wild card in all this is the offshore storm...The National Hurricane Center is monitoring it for tropical development as it nears us from the south and east.  Wind won't be an issue but it will be moisture loaded and may enhance the rain over Southern NE Thursday night.
