New Report Says Military Suicides Are On The Rise

BOSTON (CBS) - The U.S. Military has been grappling with the problem of suicides within its ranks, but according to a new report by the Center for a New American Security in Washington, the military hasn't made much progress.

In its report, Losing The Battle: The Challenge of Military Suicide, CNAS says suicides among active duty service members have nearly doubled during the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Suzanne Sausville spoke with the reports co-author, Dr. Margaret Harrell.
