BOSTON (CBS) – Linebacker Jerod Mayo is active for the New England Patriots as they get set to take on the Steelers in Pittsburgh.
Mayo missed the last three games with a knee injury he suffered in the Patriots 31-19 win over the Oakland Raiders in Week 4. He was listed as “questionable” on Friday’s injury report giving him a 50-50 chance of playing.
Mayo has 25 tackles and a forced fumble for the Patriots this season.
Running back Kevin Faulk is also active for the Patriots after being activated to the 53-man roster on Saturday. Faulk started the season on the reserve/physically unable to perform list after suffering an ACL injury in Week 2 last season.
Defensive lineman Brandon Deaderick was also activated on Saturday, and is active for Sunday’s game.
Offensive lineman Sebastian Vollmer is active for the first time since Week 2.
Among the inactives for the Patriots on Sunday: wide receiver Julian Edelman , running back Shane Vereen, linebacker Dane Fletcher, safety Josh Barrett, defensive end Jermaine Cunningham, offensive lineman Donald Thomas and quarterback Ryan Mallett
