Cambridge On Edge After Series Of Random Attacks

CAMBRIDGE (CBS) – A Cambridge neighborhood is on alert after a series of random attacks Monday night.

Three people have been robbed by two men at gun point. The first incident was on Marney Street at 8:15 p.m., then nearby Thorndike less than a half hour later.

Then in the overnight hours in Mid Cambridge, two more people were robbed.

WBZ-TV’s Christina Hager reports

On Marney Street, the first victim was a woman walking. She gave up her purse. But on Thorndike, the robbers targeted a deliveryman, taking his wallet and cell phone.

Cambridge police say they do have some leads they are following. They are working with detectives in neighboring communities to find the attackers.

Are the muggers white, or black, short or tall? If the media doesn’t tell you, you can always guess that the muggers were black as you can’t talk about black on white crime, that would be racist.
