BOSTON (CBS) – Welcome to a whole new way to eat Italian. At Ristorante Damiano on Hanover Street in the North End, chef/owner Damien DiPaola offers up to 50 delicious Italian-style tapas, and they’re all designed for sharing.
At the restaurant, you get to taste different things on the menu without being committed to one dish.
There’s specialties like oven-baked meatballs, pasta Puttanesca, and creamy risotto with fresh mozzarella cheese.
Watch video:
Every table in Damiano’s small but stylish dining room is filled with smiling customers tasting, mixing, and matching, because everybody wants to get a taste of it all. There’s sauteed garlic shrimp, tender roast chicken.
Of course, there’s also plate after plate of homemade, authentic Italian pasta.
Yes, you can kiss goodbye to the old way of eating Italian. At Ristorante Damiano, small plates are a big hit.
For more food and fun, watch The Phantom Gourmet Sundays at 10:30 a.m. and 11 a.m. on TV38.
