Protesters Bring Trash From Foreclosed Property To Bank Branch

MALDEN (CBS) - A group of volunteers staged a protest against Bank of America Monday by attempting to deposit trash they allegedly picked up from an abandoned property.

They claim the bank owns the trash on the property it foreclosed on in Malden.

The group organized by Mass Uniting chanted as they left the bank branch on Pleasant Street. They were carrying seven bags of trash from the property.

They say they picked up the trash around 56 Clinton Street.

Bank of America claims the property was maintained as recently as last week. In a statement, the company says it is committed to keeping their properties up to neighborhood standards.
