Tom Brady, LeSean McCoy Named FedEx Air & Ground Players Of Week
BOSTON (CBS) – The NFL has announced that Patriots quarterback Tom Brady and Eagles running back LeSean McCoy have been named the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week for Week 1.
Brady completed 32 of 48 passes for a career-high and team-record 517 yards with four touchdowns and one interception in the Patriots' 38-24 win over the Miami Dolphins. In the process, he became just the 11th quarterback to pass for over 500 yards in a single game.
McCoy had 15 carries for 122 yards and a touchdown and two catches for 15 yards and a touchdown in the Eagles' 31-13 win over the St. Louis Rams.
Along with the player awards, FedEx is making a $2,000 donation in each of the winning players' names to the local Junior Achievement area offices in Northern New England and the Delaware Valley.
