Prosecutors: ‘Most-Wanted Deadbeat Dad’ Owes $77,000

QUINCY (CBS) – A man listed as one of the state’s worst deadbeat dads faced a judge on Friday in Quincy.

Gerard Colucci was arraigned on charges of failure to support a child and failing to comply with a support order. Authorities say Colucci has missed more than 335 child support payments going back several years, and owes more than $77,000 in payments, penalties, and interest.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Mark Katic reports

Colucci’s attorney, John DeVito, says Colucci now co-owns a company in Las Vegas where he was arrested and would be able to make support payments.

The child’s mom, Melissa Cosman, says Gerard Colucci has never seen his now 16 year old daughter, has fled from payments before, and has not paid child support in years.

  • Happy

Melissa Cossman is no victim (the child is). This is a child born out of a marital affair. She knew that he was married. Now she is left to chase this man through the court system for her daughter. Shame on both of them.

  • Testy

I assume he knew he was married when he cheated on his wife and had a child with another woman? So not sure how this makes the mothers fault. No matter how/when the child was conceived; a real man would he support his own child.
