DANVERS (CBS) – A Danvers woman accused of breaking into a neighbor’s apartment and holding a knife to her throat in an effort to collect on a debt is being held without bail.

Danvers police say the suspect, 44-year-old Jayniene Marie McCarthy, kicked down her neighbor’s door and knocked over her two-year-old son before grabbing a knife from the dish rack.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Joe Mathieu reports

Police told the Salem News McCarthy apparently took a wallet and went right back upstairs to her own place.

Police say they found the wallet in her apartment.
