BOSTON (AP) - State police say a 10-mile section of Interstate 91 southbound in western Massachusetts will remain closed through the weekend after flooding caused by Tropical Storm Irene.

The highway is closed at exit 26 in Greenfield and Exit 24 in Deerfield. Traffic is being detoured from Exits 27 and 28 to Route 2 East, then to Route 63, Route 47, and Route 116 before rejoining the interstate.

State Route 2 West in Savoy also is closed.
