DANVERS (AP) – State police say a Gloucester man has died in a motorcycle crash on Route in Danvers.

Troopers say the bike was traveling north at about 7 p.m. on Monday when it struck the guardrail. The operator was taken to Beverly Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The victim was identified as a 39-year-old Gloucester man but his name was not immediately made public.

The accident remains under investigation.
