Boston Scientific Making More Money, Sending More Jobs Overseas

BOSTON (CBS) - Boston Scientific of Natick is planning to cut 1,200 to 1,400 positions worldwide as the company invests more money in China, India, Russia and Brazil.

The company says while sales are up 66% from this time last year, it needs to cut costs locally.

Boston Scientific says the company will spend $150 million over the next five years to build a factory to serve the Chinese market.

The company hopes to increase its Chinese workforce by fivefold to 1,200.
