BOSTON (CBS) – If you go to the beach to stay cool this weekend, you’ll also be looking for a good place to eat.

Dan Andelman of the Phantom Gourmet went out in search of the best beach food.

Steps away from Nantasket Beach, Beachfire in Hull is a restaurant on the shore that’s sure to be a great time as the sun and drinks go down.

The Sea Ketch in Hampton Beach, New Hampshire, is a gigantic restaurant with four floors of ocean-front dining, offering a “surf and turf” dish featuring an Australian-cut filet mignon, and sautéed lobster medallions.

Bianchi’s is the oldest family-run business on Revere Beach, and the menu hasn’t changed a bit: just traditional, thin-crust pizza served bubbling hot out of the oven.

Suddenly bringing a cooler full of sandwiches and potato chips to the beach, doesn’t seem like such a great idea. And if you want to “beat the heat”, stay inside, crank the air conditioning and watch the Phantom Gourmet on Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 and 11 a.m. on TV38.
