Fire Tears Through Beverly Home

BEVERLY (CBS) - Beverly fire investigators have now determined the cause of a blaze that destroyed a home on Bridge Street early Sunday morning.

The two-alarm blaze broke out after the homeowner was trying to repair a bike frame in the basement.

Sparks from a cutting wheel landed on some combustible materials that smoldered and ignited only after the owner left the house.

Fire officials said the house is a total loss.
