BRIDGEWATER (CBS) – Bridgewater police have tracked down a man wanted for trying to kill a pregnant woman.
A resident on Oak Street in Bridgewater called police to report a man matching the description of 45-year-old Albert DeAndrade at around 9:30 p.m. After a brief foot race, DeAndrade was placed into police custody.
Investigators say DeAndrade had a dispute with his girlfriend early Tuesday morning and fled before police arrived. His girlfriend told officers he has a gun and he made “suicidal statements.”
DeAndrade will be arraigned Thursday on charges including assault and battery on a pregnant woman and attempted murder.
