Suspect In NH Double Murder Cries In Court

QUINCY (CBS) - A young man was sent back to New Hampshire Monday to face charges in connection with a double murder over the weekend.

24-year-old Robert LaCombe, Jr., was arrested Saturday at a hotel in Randolph, hours after 24-year-old William Hatch and 23-year-old Crystal Farnham were found shot to death in a home in Grafton, N.H.

LaCombe had lived in the home for a few months.

At a hearing in Quincy District Court Monday, LaCombe, Jr., cried several times and appeared timid and scared, while standing in hand and leg shackles, according to WBZ NewsRadio 1030's Kim Tunnicliffe.

A not guilty plea was entered on his behalf on a fugitive charge. He did not fight his return to New Hampshire, where he faces second-degree murder charges.

There were several New Hampshire state troopers in court to bring LaCombe back.

There is still no word yet on a motive.
