Methuen Woman Charged With Assault For Hitting Boyfriend With Baseball

METHUEN (AP) – A Massachusetts woman is facing assault charges after police said she threw a baseball and hit her boyfriend in the head during a heated argument.

Methuen police said Maritza Alvarado was arrested Thursday when she told officers that she got angry with her boyfriend and beaned him.

The 26-year-old Methuen resident is facing a charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

The man, who police did not identify, was found with fresh bruise on the left top of his forehead.

When asked what happened, he told police Alvarado got mad and threw something at him then refused to speak further about the beaning.

He refused to seek a restraining order against her and would not talk to police.

It was unclear if Alvarado had an attorney.

I think the Red Sox could use her. How far apart were they, and was it an accurate pitch? Come on, kids – This is your top news? This kind of stuff happens in Methuen all the time. Did she hit Slick Willie or something? Is there a line where we can all bean Slick Willie with a baseball… or a bat?

Ok so she beaned him, wait and he is not talking, nor wants to press charges,, Ok a few things comes to mind. One was she being abused and then grabbed the nearest thing to protect herself, IT happens you know, or is he the victim and afraid to come forward in a domestic abuse relationship. I wonder..
