LYNN (CBS) – Police in Lynn are warning parents about an attempted kidnapping that took place Monday afternoon.

Officers say a 14-year-old boy was walking on Cliff Street near Walnut Street when he claims a man drove up in a burgundy sedan and tried to get him into the car.

WBZ NewsRadio 1030’s Bernice Corpuz reports

The boy took out his cell phone to make a call and that’s when the driver took off.

Police searched the area for the man but were unable to locate him.

He’s described as 40 to 50 years old, of Middle Eastern descent, with short curly hair, square-framed glasses and a heavy accent.
