Grease Fire Tears Through Duplex Home In Haverhill

HAVERHILL (CBS) - What started out as a smokey fire erupted into a roaring blaze in Haverhill on Monday.

The fire broke out in a duplex home on Howard Street just before 6 p.m.

Haverhill Police said it was a grease fire that started in the kitchen.

The intensity of the flames and the tightly packed neighborhood prompted a mutual aid call to Georgetown and Lawrence.

Officials believe everyone escaped the building uninjured.
