Dept. Of Energy Gives Lexington Solar Tech Company $150M

BOSTON (CBS) - Months after Evergreen Solar decided to close its Massachusetts facility, another solar tech company is planning to build its first factory in the Bay State.

1366 Technologies of Lexington has received a $150 million loan commitment from the Energy Department.

Vice President Craig Lund said his company's wafer is standard, meaning it can be sold internationally, and a technology that's faster than anything similar that's come before it.
