Couple Survived House Flipping In Monson

MONSON (CBS) -- While there are many houses in Monson that faced the wrath of the tornadoes Wednesday, there's one in particular that stands out. It's become known as the "upside down house."

The house belongs to a couple that says they grabbed their dog and raced into the basement just before the twister hit.

Boards came flying through their windows, and then the house lifted off its foundation and flipped, landing on top of the garage.

The wife had apparently barricaded herself in a bathroom and got sucked out of a window. She landed on the lawn.

WBZ-TV's David Robichaud reports.

People in the neighborhood found her wandering around. She had a concussion and didn't know how she got outside the house.

They're both thankful that although their house is upside down they are not hurt.
