One Last Thing: The 'Good' In People
CONCORD (CBS) - I got an email from a Ray Savage reminding me about the good in people. He lived an example.
He's been out of work for a year. He's picked up some odd jobs. Recently at one of those jobs in Concord he went to fill up only to find his credit card didn't have enough to cover it. With only $16 in his pocket, he was short $20.
A woman in line stepped up and paid for him.
He paid her back the next day, but that gesture stuck with him.
In his email he said he'll never forget that as long as he lives and "she was my angel that day."
Sometimes it's the little things you do for someone that mean the most.
Ray, thanks for the email and hope you've since found work.
