President Obama Expected In Boston Wednesday For Fundraiser
BOSTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama is expected to make a return trip to Boston for another political fundraiser. The event is planned for Wednesday at the Boston Center for the Arts in the city's South End neighborhood. It's the second time this year the Democratic president has made a trip to Boston.
In March, Obama visited TechBoston, a pilot school, before attending a gala fundraiser at the Museum of Fine Arts. Obama is building up his campaign account ahead of his re-election bid next year.
Massachusetts is a Democratic stronghold and gave Obama a wide margin of support in the 2008 election.
Gov. Deval Patrick is a friend of the president and one of his strongest political supporters. Patrick has said he plans to campaign for Obama during the upcoming election.
