Dorchester Man Accused Of Peeping At Boston Public Library

BOSTON (CBS) - A Dorchester man is facing charges after he was allegedly caught peeping in the women's bathroom at the Boston Public Library.

Joseph Banks was arraigned Thursday on charges of lewd, wanton, and lascivious conduct, disorderly conduct, and trespassing.

Boston Police say that on Tuesday evening, the victim saw a man staring at her through a crack in the stall door.

When she screamed, she said, the man ran out of the room.

She was able to give officers a description, which one of them recognized as Banks. Banks had been arrested about a month ago for a similar offense at Northeastern University.

The victim was later able to positively identify him.
