Toucher & Rich: Sean McAdam: Will Crawford Move Out Of The 8th Spot?

The Boston Red Sox have won three in a row at home. Toucher & Rich talked about the recent wins with Sean McAdam from CSNNE.

In these three games the Sox faced great starting pitching and were able to pull out wins. Should Sox fans feel good about things to come?

"There are at least signs for optimism," McAdams said.

Everyone thought that Adrian Gonzalez was going to be a home run machine, what should we think now that he has only two this far in to the season?

They also talked about Terry Francona wanting to wanting to give Dustin Pedroia a day off because he has played all but three innings this year, but Francona stated Pedroia threatened to kill him if he made him sit.

They also talked about Daisuke Matsuzaka being bumped back over concern with his elbow. Is there anything there we need to worry about?

And now that Carl Crawford has finally seemed to find his stride, when does McAdam see Francona moving him out of the 8th spot in the lineup and where will he get moved to?

"The when is coming, the where is another issue all together because that was the problem early on," McAdam told the guys. "Where does he fit in relation to some of the other guys? My guess is it's probably third, where he was the first two games of the year before he got moved down. You keep Ellsbury at the top, Pedroia second, Crawford third and move everyone else down."
