Final Teen In Phoebe Prince Bullying Case Still Faces Trial

BOSTON (AP) - Five teens are expected to resolve charges against them this week in the bullying of a 15-year-old Massachusetts girl who later committed suicide.

But one teen's case is still slated to go to trial. Ironically, he is the one who was not charged with bullying the girl.

Austin Renaud, now 19, was charged with statutory rape for allegedly having sexual contact with Phoebe Prince, a recent Irish immigrant who lived in South Hadley. He has denied the allegations.

The five other teens faced multiple charges and are expected to plead guilty to a single misdemeanor charge during court hearings Wednesday and Thursday.

Renaud's lawyer says he has not been offered a plea deal.

Prince hanged herself last year after what a prosecutor described as a "relentless" bullying campaign.
