State troopers and emergency medical technicians responding to Revere Beach Parkway found the child unresponsive at about 10:30 a.m. Friday. The boy was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he underwent emergency surgery and remains in stable condition.

The 28-year-old Testa told authorities that he was babysitting.

He was ordered held on $15,000 bail. The boy's mother was granted a restraining order, which will keep Testa away from her and her son.
