Red Sox Activate Albers, Send Down Aceves
BOSTON (CBS) - The Boston Red Sox activated right-handed pitcher Matt Albers from the 15-day disabled list, the team announced Thursday.
To make room for Albers on the Major League roster, Alfredo Aceves was optioned to Triple-A Pawtucket.

Albers will be active for Thursday night's game against the Angels in Anaheim.

Albers was placed on the 15-day disabled list since April 8 with a right latissimus strain. He made two rehab appearances with Pawtucket, allowing just one hit over three scoreless innings with two strikeouts.
The right-hander pitched two scoreless and hitless innings with three strikeouts over a pair of relief appearances for Boston before the injury.
