Opposition Builds To Sale Of Saints Medical Center To Steward

A group of doctors at Saints are also strongly opposed. Dr. Peter Gorlin has been in the emergency room there for 30 years and he says many doctors are talking about leaving if the sale goes through.

In a letter to Saints physicians, Dr. Gorlin labeled the choice of Steward as the "single worst for us." Saints' affiliation with Tufts Medical Center would be dropped, and the hospital would switch from non-profit to profit-making under Steward.
