Spring In Bloom: Local Flower Company Celebrates 100 Years

SUDBURY (CBS) - A local family celebrated 100 years of being in business Friday.

Despite the snow, they have beautiful geraniums in bloom for as far as the eye can see.

 J.P. Bartlett Company Wholesale Greenhouses in Sudbury has millions of gorgeous planters of all different colors on their eight-acre lot.

Eighty-four-year-old Dorothy Bartlett says she's proud of her family's legacy and after such a harsh winter they're excited to get some color going this spring.

I always loved plants from my grandmother but I didn't know I would end up with this," Bartlett admitted. "I thought I would be teaching music," she laughed.

J.P. Bartlett actually breeds their own geraniums and ships them all around the country. They say the key to their success has been hard work, family pride, and dedication.
