Skyrocketing College Costs: Northeastern University Joins $50K Club

BOSTON (CBS) – Northeastern University has joined a growing list of Massachusetts Schools that cost more than $50,000.

For 2011-2012, tuition, room, and board at Northeastern will cost $51,012. That’s a 4% increase from this year.

Northeastern says it plans to increase financial aid options.

Thare are now more than a dozen colleges in Massachusetts that charge more than $50,000 a year to attend.

Right up at the top of the list are Boston College, which charges $55,415, and Boston University, which has a price tag of $53,558.

    The old saying: You get what you pay for. As an alum, NU is definitely worthy of that “price tag.” State schools can’t come close to the education you receive at NU, BU, or BC.

    an education is what you make of it, no matter where you get it. what you put in is what you get out.
