Items up for auction include Auerbach’s 1968 Basketball Hall of Fame induction ring; his personal Boston Celtics championship rings from 1962, 1974, 1976 and 1981; his first contract to coach the Celtics signed by Auerbach and team owner Walter Brown in 1950; his 1957 Celtics satin warm-up jacket; and his 1,000th career win trophy presented to him on Feb. 13, 1966 at Boston Garden.

Auerbach coached the Celtics to nine championships and helped in each of the franchise’s 17 titles. He won 938 games as a coach, a record when he retired in 1966. After retiring from the bench, he served as Celtics team president and GM for another 14 years and as the president solely from 1984-1997 and again from 2001 until his death in 2006.
