BOSTON (CBS) – Watertown company Witricity claims it’s found a way to safely transmit electricity through the air, using magnetic fields.

So can you charge your laptop or phone without a cord?

Claims to this end have been made in the past too, right? Such is what Tesla wanted to do, if I correctly recall previously read articles. “Magnetic waves are totally safe”? Regardless of the featured technology, can you verify that statement?
