2 Men Wanted In String Of Robberies Near Brockton MBTA Station

BROCKTON (CBS) – Police are searching for two men who have been robbing commuters as they get off the 'T' in Brockton.

One man was confronted by the robbers Tuesday night near Monument Street. After the man pulled out his wallet to show the robbers he had no money, they stabbed him three times.

The two bandits have hit at least seven times since mid-December near Brockton's Montello Rail Station, with one of the instances on the train platform itself.

WBZ-TV's Ken MacLeod reports.

"People who've been targeted, it appears that they've all been commuters," Capt. Emanuel Gomes of the Brockton Police Department.

Some commuters are taking extra precautions by getting rides to and from the station.

The man stabbed on Tuesday night is expected to recover.

Detectives have shown some victims photo line-ups, but so far, there have been no arrests.
