Summers: 'The Social Network' Is 'Fairly Accurate'

BOSTON (AP) - Former Harvard President Larry Summers says a scene from "The Social Network" in which he's shown brushing off two brothers who claim their idea for Facebook was stolen by a fellow student was pretty accurate.

Summers was asked about it Monday at a Greater Boston Chamber of Commerce luncheon.

The former treasury secretary said he's told Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss thought he wasn't nearly as nice to them as portrayed in the movie .

Summers jokingly acknowledged "people think I can be arrogant." If that's so, he said, "I probably was on that
occasion."

The Boston Globe also reports his former assistant, Colleen Richards Powell, told the luncheon group Summers didn't give the twins what they wanted, a penalty against Mark Zuckerberg, but "he was not mean to them."
