BOSTON (CBS) – FEMA officials announced on Monday that federal disaster aid has been made available to Massachusetts for the severe winter storm that struck the area from Jan. 11-12.

The funding will be released to Berkshire, Essex, Hampshire, Middlesex, Norfolk, and Suffolk Counties.

The designation allows cities and towns to apply for federal funding to help pay the costs of clearing all of the snow.
