North Attleboro Looking To Sell Donated Painting

NORTH ATTLEBORO (CBS) – The town of North Attleboro is looking to sell a million-dollar painting hanging in a school.

The board of selectmen voted Thursday night to sell “Afghans,” which some believe is worth more than $1 million.

The town learned about the pricey painting in 2007.

Lawmakers have not been able to agree on what to do with the work of art.

The family of the man who donated it is against selling it. A court would probably have to approve any sale.
