Marines To Be Honored At Warrior Night In March

BOXBORO (CBS) – U.S. Marines are set to pay tribute to those in their ranks who have made the ultimate sacrifice in Iraq and Afghanistan during Warrior Night on March 5.

WBZ-TV’s Jonathan Elias reports.

One Marine, whose story will be featured in a movie they’ll show, is Marine Captain Jennifer Harris of Swampscott. On her third tour as a chopper pilot, she was racing to evacuate wounded when she was shot down, becoming the first service woman from Massachusetts killed in the Iraq war.

The hope from the fundraiser is to build a clock tower at the Marine Corps air station in North Carolina, with the insignia “Take Time To Remember.”

Their actions and their sacrifices are something no one who enjoys their freedoms should ever forget.

I heard about this from an old Marine buddy of mine. Should be a great time to connect with those we have served with and honor those who have given the ultimate sacrifice.
