WBZ’s Yadires Nova-Salcedo talks with Boston City Councilor Matt O’Malley, about what this means to the Latino community in his district.
February 19, 2011
For 47 years, the Latino community in Jamaica Plain has been able to count on getting ethnic products from their homeland at Hi-Lo Foods, one of Boston’s only Latin American supermarkets. This will no longer be the case, as the supermarket considered a landmark by many will soon be replaced by the upscale organic Whole Foods Market. On this edition of “Centro”, WBZ’s Yadires Nova-Salcedo talks with Boston City Councilor Matt O’Malley, about what this means to the Latino community in his district. Tune in!
