SOUTHBORO (CBS) –  Police found a hand grenade inside a car during a traffic stop in Southboro Wednesday morning.

“It was Old,Hollowed out and not active”…. In other words it wasn’t a Hand Grenade. Why shouldn’t the driver have it? After the War you could buy them at The Army and Navy Store for a Dime a dozen. My Fourth grade Teacher had one on his desk.Of course that was a less hysterical time.

Where Was the “Hand Grenade” in the Car? Was it in Plain view? Was it in the glove Compartment? Was it under the seat? Did the Police have to search the car to find it? Too many times you read of people being arrested after a “Routine Traffic Stop”. The Law is that once the Police find that you are properly Licensed and you vehicle is Legally registered they can no longer delay you. How many of these searches are illegal? Before someone screams “But he was commiting a crime”…How would you like to be one of the 50,000 that are subjected to the illegal search before they find the ONE that is doing anything?
