Celtics Pierce Okay, Will Play Wednesday

BOSTON (CBS) - Fear not Celtics fans, Paul Pierce is okay.

Celtics Coach Doc Rivers said Pierce will play Wednesday night against the New Jersey Nets, after an MRI on Monday revealed his injured left ankle was just bruised, the teams website reports.

Pierce is also nursing a sprained right hand that he attributed to his 0-for-10 shooting against the Miami Heat on Sunday.

Injured guard Delonte West could also play Wednesday, if he goes through a pain-free practice on Tuesday. West has been out with a broken wrist since late-November.
