BOSTON (CBS) — As head of the Boston Archdiocese, Cardinal Sean O’Malley carries with him the joy and responsibility of delivering a Christmas message that he hopes will resonate.

He says this Christmas he will pray for forgiveness, reconciliation at home, elimination of social inequality, and peace in Afghanistan, Iran and stability in Haiti.

Cardinal Sean O’Malley begins his very busy Christmas schedule with a stop at the Pine Street Inn on Christmas Eve.

He will celebrate midnight mass at the Cathedral of the Holy Cross.

WBZ News Radio’s Laurie Kirby talked with him about his Christmas message.
