Chiarelli Dismisses Sturm To Kings Report
BOSTON (CBS) - Bruins general manager Peter Chiarelli dismissed reports Thursday night regarding a trade with Los Angeles for Marco Sturm.
According to TSN, the Bruins traded their injured left winger to the Kings for a conditional draft pick.
Sturm is an unrestricted free agent at the end of the season.
He hasn't played since May 1st when when he went down with a torn right ACL and MCL in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Flyers.
The Bruins are struggling to make room under the salary cap and moving Sturm would clear $3.5 million off their books.
Sturm came to the Bruins in 2005 from the San Jose Sharks as part of the Joe Thornton trade.
