Northeastern Donates Football Equipment To Boston Kids
BOSTON (CBS) -- Northeastern University is donating all of its football equipment to the Boston public school system.
After the University dropped its football program at the end of last season, Boston Mayor Tom Menino approached the president of Northeastern, asking if the school would consider donating the equipment. Fifty thousand dollars worth of helmets, pads, and other equipment will go to the Boston Scholar Athlete Program.
