WBZ NewsRadio named 'Legendary Station of the Year'
WBZ NewsRadio has been nationally recognized as “Legendary Station of the Year.”
For more than 20 years, the NAB Marconi Radio Awards have stood as the benchmark in the radio industry honoring superior excellence in broadcasting.
Broadcasting to New Englanders for almost 90 years, WBZ NewsRadio 1030 has been and continues to be recognized as a reliable source for news and information.
Additionally, WBZ is called a leader in community involvement, spearheading many station events and services throughout the year.

“For obvious reasons, the “legendary” award can only be earned once in a station’s lifetime, and there are only a handful of stations that have received this unique distinction,” said Mark Hannon, Senior Vice President and Market Manager for CBS Radio Boston.
“Next September, WBZ turns 90 years old. The Marconi award recognizes all of the enduring personalities that have graced our airwaves, and all of the amazing contributions made by WBZ staff behind the scenes for all 9 of those decades,” said Hannon.
The 2010 awards presentation was held in Washington, D.C. Thursday night.
