"Rockefeller" atty gets license suspended

A high-profile Boston defense attorney who represented the man who called himself Clark Rockefeller has had his law license suspended by the state's highest court.
 
The court suspended the license of Stephen Hrones Friday for a year and a day for "forming a business arrangement with a nonlawyer."
 
The charges stem from a relationship Hrones formed with Lionel Porter, a law school graduate who had not passed the bar examination. Porter, who is knowledgeable in discrimination law, had appeared before the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination on behalf of the NAACP.
 
The court said Hrones agreed to let Porter share office space to help develop a practice in employment discrimination, with Hrones getting one-third of the fees.
 
Hrones said he hadn't read the decision and had no comment.
