Framingham man held in fatal Hudson double stabbing

CBS

A Framingham man who called police to the scene of a double fatal stabbing in Hudson is being held without bail after pleading not guilty to two counts of first-degree murder.

Prosecutors say 28-year-old Idelfonso Velez was arraigned Wednesday in Marlborough District Court.

He is accused of stabbing to death 20-year-old Trisha Bennett and 23-year-old Angel Ortiz on May 1.

Authorities say Velez called police to the scene and told them he had been sleeping in another bedroom at the apartment when he heard a commotion in the master bedroom where the victims' bodies were found.

Prosecutors say inconsistencies in Velez's accounts and DNA evidence on the murder weapon found in the kitchen led to the charges.
