NESN’s Mike Milbury joined Felger and Massarotti to discuss the recent move by the Bruins.  Earlier today, the Bruins traded Dennis Wideman, this years 15th overall pick, and a 3rd round pick in 2011 to the Florida Panther for forwards Nathan Horton and Gregory Campbell.  Will these player help fill the gap left behind by Phil Kessel?  The guys also discussed the potential moves by the Bruins.  Is moving Tim Thomas the next move the Bruins make?

While you listen to Milbury lean towards Hall being the better player, you have to remember how he ruined the Islanders as GM making all kinds of bad deals. Maybe he doesn’t know NHL talent that well?

  2. Joe says:

I like the trade….Wideman was in a no-win situation here in Boston and no doubt would have received the “Hal Gill” treatment going forward. Admittedly, I don’t know much about either player the Bruins received, but from listening to those that do, it seems to me that it was a good trade and should help fill the gap left behind by Kessel. Let us not forget that Friday’s draft pick and next year’s pick are what the Bruins should be looking at in filling the Kessel gap; therefore, this trade is a BONUS. The Cam Neely regime has arrived and get used to more deals. Love the Cam!!!!!!

  3. Jim says:

I think the Neely regime is about to start leaving a fingerprint. With Horton and I know you will all jump on me Wheeler on either side of the wing Savard is gonna have a massive year. Bergeron with Lucic will be a good connection and both are poised for a big year.

Krejci and Seguin will be fun to watch. I am still curious if sturm will return in a gunner form

Lots of questions but we have an amazing forth line with Paille thorton and campbell solid building blocks on 2nd and 3rd lines and first line looks amazing

Defense is good Buychuk will fill as a partner for chara

and TUUUUUUK in net….who’s better than us
