Bruins Drop 7th Straight

The Bruins lost to the visiting LA Kings 3-2 in a shootout at the TD Garden. Marco Sturm returned to the lineup after missing 6 games, and scored on the power play, his 16th of the season. Mark Recchi's PP goal in the 3rd (10th of the year) gave the Bruins a 2-1 lead, but it was wiped away just 3 minutes and 9 seconds later after a Anze Kopitar goal.

Both teams went scoreless in the 5 minute OT. In the shootout 6 players from each team participated. Michael Ryder and Marc Savard each found the back of the net, but it wasn't enough for the Bruins.

Tim Thomas made 27 saves in regulation for Boston. The B's are now 1-8-2 in their last 11 games.

Next up for the Bruins is a match up with Washington on Tuesday night at the Garden. Puck drops at 7:00, but the coverage starts at 6:30 on 98.5 The Sports Hub with the Dunkin Donuts Bruins pre game show with Dave Goucher and Bob Beers.
